When Jeremy and his wife, Nina, return from vacation, they find Jeremy’s lazy, irresponsible brother, Ted, living in their home without permission. Ted explains that their parents arranged for him to move in since Jeremy and Nina are often away. Furious, Jeremy calls his parents, but they defend Ted, saying he needs help. This infuriates Jeremy even more, especially since Ted is 42 years old and has a history of freeloading
Tensions escalate when Nina tells Jeremy that if Ted isn’t out within a week, she’ll leave. Determined to teach his brother a lesson, Jeremy makes Ted’s life miserable. He cuts off the Wi-Fi, stops the hot water, fills the fridge with healthy food Ted hates, and plays loud music every morning. By day five, Ted can’t take it anymore and storms out, returning to their parents’ house.With Ted gone, Jeremy cleans the house, prepares a meal for Nina, and calls his parents to inform them that Ted won’t be coming back. His mother is furious, but Jeremy stands his ground. Ted eventually moves into the garage at their parents’ house and is forced to get a job. Jeremy and Nina get their peace back, despite the fallout with his family.
